For as far back as I can recall, water has always held a deep fascination and a sense of magic to my soul”

A little about me…

Since my earliest childhood memories, I have been deeply entrenched in nature and the rural landscapes. Growing up in the picturesque expanse of rural North Oxfordshire, the fields, woods, and streams served as our expansive and enchanting playground. Among our most cherished spots was a serene pond on a local farmer's land, where endless hours were joyously spent in awe of the shimmering water. Engrossed in our pursuits, we would eagerly collect small fish and tadpoles in buckets (a childhood delight that I now understand the impact of!). It was from these humble beginnings that my fascination with garden ponds and angling burgeoned. The allure of water gardening crept into my heart and thrived, spurred on by a deep-seated curiosity for the unseen world teeming below the water's surface. The conversion of this fervor into a lifelong vocation was an inevitable path, and I am truly grateful to have found my calling at such a young age. In 2005, a pivotal move to the South West revealed yet another dimension of my affection for the natural world - Dartmoor. The untamed splendor of the moorland, sculpted by the enduring flow of water through countless ages, stands as a timeless muse. With my beloved partner Caitlin and our three cherished children - Felix, Rafferty, and Koa, we are utterly captivated by the rugged allure of daily life amidst the high moors. This profound connection distinctly influences my artistic endeavors, with local slate and granite gleaned from the moor's western reaches forming the very foundation of my creations. The verdant tapestry of ferns, moss, sedge, and grasses, alongside the perpetual presence of flowing waters, weave seamlessly through the aquatic features and landscapes I ardently craft.
